There is a shorthand notation to pass variable length arrays that uses the three periods in a row: .... Here is how it works:
The notation works to pass arrays of any class.

A Thing... parameter can be passed to a method expecting a Thing... or Thing[] argument. However, you can’t pass it to a method expecting an Iterable<? extends Thing>. You must convert it to an explicit Iterable, usually with Arrays.asList( ).

An array is not a true Iterable. It does not have a iterator method. The compiler treats it as Iterable in for:each, but does not use an Iterator; it fudges a traditional for loop.
