A backup and CD/DVD burning program suite that costs $80.00 CAD It also lets you edit and recode CDs and DVDs. You can edit videos and sound. It is huge package giving you many different ways to skin a cat. For example, to burn a DVD with some files there are three different programs in the suite you could use.

Nero StartSmart
Nero Burning ROM
Nero Express

It is quite intuitive, though sometimes the number of options can be overwhelming.

The backup is considerably faster than just copying files to DVD, and packs more on a DVD.

It can also be command line driven. Type nerocmd.exe to see the massive list of command line options. You can start up the GUI version of Nero with nero.exe or Nero Express with nero.exe /w.

Disadvantages

You can save the constellation of files to burn to a CD/DVD and reuse it simply by putting the name of the file on the command line. However, it is useless because it won’t include any new files in any of the directories.
