Hypertransport
A high speed bus for use in computers used for example to connect the CPU with memory. It runs at 200 MHz to 2.6 GHz (compared to PCI at either 33 or 66 MHz). Intel does not use it. AMD and others do in their higher end chips. In very high end chips each CPU may have 3 busses.
